That vision guided Colloid, a Serbian high-tech company that, almost two decades ago, recognised the potential of colloidal silver production technology and its use in developing its own products. Through continuous investment in research and development, the company has created innovative solutions that today set new standards and help advance the field of biomedicine.
In the era of rapid technological progress, Colloid develops and applies modern technologies that bring together science, innovation and practical application. In its own laboratory, the company has developed an ultrasonic ionisation technology that permanently integrates silver ions (Ag+) into a wide range of products, enabling the effective elimination of pathogenic microorganisms and long-lasting product protection.
The effectiveness of this technology has been confirmed by tests carried out in collaboration with pharmacists, physicians, professors, chemists and experts from renowned scientific institutions, including the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Kragujevac (Institute of Public Health Kragujevac) and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade. The test results showed that medical materials with permanently ultrasonically integrated silver ions eliminate up to 99.9% of pathogenic microorganisms.

Colloid operates a modern production facility, developed in partnership with companies from Germany, Canada and the United States. Production takes place in automated and semi-automated units, under the constant supervision of qualified staff and in line with the highest production management standards, from the receipt and inspection of raw materials to the final inspection of the finished product.
